The United Arab Emirates, or simply the Emirates, is a country in Western Asia. It is located at the eastern end of the Arabian Peninsula and shares borders with Oman and Saudi Arabia, while having maritime borders in the Persian Gulf with Qatar and Iran. Dubai city is the capital of Dubai Emirate, an absolute monarchy and one of the seven emirates which constitute the UAE. The city is a major trade and transportation hub in the Persian Gulf region. Dubai is situated on the Persian Gulf coast of the United Arab Emirates and is roughly at sea level (16 m/52 ft above).

A student visa is granted for one year and is to be renewed every year. Initially, the Student gets an entry permit to enter Dubai and then the visa is granted at the visa office of Dubai airport. Even though the visa processing fee is set by the UAE Government Services Office (GSO), every university/ institute's service charge varies. Hence the student visa for studying in Dubai has varying costs. Visa processing fee: 3000 - 4000 AED (Rs. 55,000 - 72,000 approx.)
